    RS2 Immobilized ECU

I have just had an ADU engine fitted into the SWB UR. The problem I have is I think is that the RS2 ECU caters for the immobilzer and therefore will not start.

A search of the forum has recommended this guy Audi20V_Kruemmer , but as yet I've been unable to locate the correct folder/files.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

PS Need to get on with this as it's a right PITA to keep pushing around.

    Cheers.
    Steve

What is the last letter on the sticker of the ECU (part code)?

            B or C?

That is the immo version I believe!
Hard to see if its socketed from the angle of the pic. Might need to pop those plastic covers of the eproms.

Steve had another set of chips which I tried but still the same, shuts off after 2 seconds.

I can drop you a set of chips in the mail.
Stock though I guess, if you want it for cheap.

                      But immo will be disabled.
Or if you have a chip writer, I can just give you the binaries.

Yes please. I would like to to get rid of this software and try the chips I have.

                          David,

How did you get it removed as I recall you bought an immobilized ECU recently?

I am not completely sure what you mean by the "try the chips I have".
And whether you want binaries or chips?

Did I send you software in the past?
It is possible my memory is failing me, but the only thing I recall is you buying a 3 bar MAP sensor a long time ago.

Yes I did buy a 3 bar MAP sensor from you some time ago.

What I mean by 'chips' is that I have two IC's in addition to the standard IC's. The new ones are to replace the old RS2 ones as they have a different map on them to give more power.

I am assuming that the software will make it possible to use the ECU with the standard IC's and also the new ones?
