    update:

    still no further with this

I repaired the wire, still bleep bleep bleep!!

the aux wiring loom(aux water pump, speedo, gearbox, mfts etc) had a slightly damaged connector-you know, the 2 big multiplugs on the bulkhead...I accidentally stood on it and a piece chipped off,it still seems to connect fine though..
today I pulled the black and blue plugs off the oil pressure sender as well as the oil temp sender underneath it expecting the aux oil gauges to stop working which they did but still had autocheck going mental at me!

I then even disconnected the multiplug at the bulkhead and still had the bleep!!

Rechecked oil level on dipstick all seems well, any ideas ??

May just a bad switch? Try another one if you have one. Since it connects to the Autocheck in the cluster it could be a bad solder joint in the cluster.

Thanks Chris but I read up that if all was disconnected it wouldn't beep ?

Parts all wrapped up by the way

I had this recently Andy - mine was the low pressure switch inside the cotton reel dual sender unit.
Unplugging the sensors does not stop the bleep. If you groud the connection it should do though.

I replaced the white pressure switch & the cotton reel dual sender - the pressure switch was OK but they can fil without warning & are only about £4 to replace. I used a new VDO dual sender, aftermarket not OEM so the thread is taper not parallel. I just ran a die down it to make it a parallel thread. I also used an M10 straight adapter to make it easier to fit otherwise it is almost impossible to tighten the new one back up with with the alternator bracket & engine mount in the way).
