Speedo meter died

I hope this is the right section (Electrical).

My speedo meter died, also have no output on the onboad computer (i only get the autonomy but else is 0). Rpm ok, fuel gauge ok, wat temp gauge ok, only speedometer not working. Last few weeks was faulty, on and off. Now its completly dead.

Could it be the speed sensor? and if so wich is the part number for it please, i suppose its that cable wich goes to gearbox. Thank you

try clean the connection on the gearbox first, you might find thats all it needs.

Its worth trying that first as it could have been knocked or something or just got dirt in and is a cheap easy fix if its that.

Would ve check it right now but its kinda dark and my brother has a nice garage, will check it out tommorow at his place, hopefully you are right Acidburn. I might be wrong but i think new cable is cheap, right? Is it noob friendly to change? I might do it myself if cleaning wont help.

When you drive along, try pushing the fuel gauge callibration button/nob thingy, it's the small, flush version of the mileage trip button, right next to the fuel gauge.
