I'm retro fitting heated seats to my 3B and have all the cabling in place except the main power feed. I have the seat switches with inbuilt relays, so I just need to find a suitable fused supply. Has anyone undertaken this before or can suggest a suitable feed/connector to hook into? I don't think I have a spare fuse holder in the main fuse box. I guess the power draw will be high, so I'll need to increase the fuse value if I splice into another supply.

You need to hook into one of the 30A spades on the fuse board - i'll see if i can find a pic

Here you go - you should have one of these slots free for a big 9mm space connector (they are all full in this pic of my car) but i think there are 6 in total, you should have 1 or 2 spare ones if you don't have heated or electric seats
The arrow is pointing to the battery feed to the fuse board for reference

Thanks Alex. I don't have any spare pins so I will need to splice into one of the existing. Are these fused? If not, there will be no fuse in the heated loom. I suppose I could buy an inline fuse holder if not.

You need to make a little double-up pigtail as far as I have found tell 9mm spade piggie-backs are not commercially available, I was looking for them for ages. There used to be a factory break-out connector but they are NLA.

Yes it needs a 30a fuse, directly off the G30a connection
