Problem with A6 Avant C4 Factory alarm.

This morning my car alarm went off. (Horn beeping)

This is the only alarm on the car and is Factory.

I cant see anything wrong with the car. Doors, windows all closed.
I have left battery off for a hour and reconnected it.

    Still comes on random.
Tried the lock the last time and heard the windows activate with the key/central locking.

It is a strange on as had no issues before.

I was working on the car yesterday. I removed the drivers side strut to get a wheel bearing replaced and replaced front drivers Lower arm.

I was in engine bay but that was to disconnect the ABS sensor plug.

Car is parked up next to house and nobody near it when going off.

    Any suggestion welcome.

    Thanks

Found the small plunger under the bonnet is broken. Is there anyway to bypass to stop it from putting the alarm off?

      Alarm

I unplugged mine and it never went off at random again.

The alarm now beeps the horn when locking and flashes the indicators. I remember my old a6 quattro doing this. This car so far hasn't done this.
Cleaned the door catches and sprayed wd40.

Any ideas how to do a quick fix on the bonnet sensor??? Can I just put a wire between to 2 connectors?

        Or any other suggestion.

Can I disconnect the horn to alarm and still have the central locking work and arm the immobiliser? Location for the horn. Sound like the rear passengers luggage compartment.

Alarm today started going off again randomly. Still to find a underbonnet switch. Is there anyway to deactivate the horn?
