Is this possible to make work in the 80's?

Its most likely just set up to the interior wiring/door pin switch so should not be too hard, but would most likely need new wires done to each door.

You already have a wire to each door to illuminate the interior light so could you not just tap in to that circuit? Save you running additional wiring to the doors.. Look at the temp display.. bloody warmer than where I am right now..

But that as far as I know only does power or earth and would be for one circuit so if you wired it up to that you'd only get a response on the dash but not know which door is open unlike in the picture which shows the passenger front door is open (if it was a rhd car)

You'd need to check if its an individual setup or one thats for everything, if its everything then you'd need to convert it to work.

I made door open warning in Cabrio roof indicator light (mine is saloon so bulb is unused normally). Easy job to do, requires piece of wire, LED (or regular bulb and diode, otherwise it won't work as well as car alarm) and some soldering skills.

Hmmm... I'll try to search more info on the internet, but supposing that i do all the wiring to the doors, how i enable that function on the autocheck display?
