    Windscreen Washer Jets not Working

For some strange reason my windscreen washer jets have just stopped working on the RS2. This happened on Saturday when temps were well above freezing.

I tries them again last night in the garage (again in a warm climate) and they still didn't work. Fluid reservoir is full and the headlamp jets work with the lights switched on.

Any ideas as I'm clueless with stuff like this.

    Cheers

    Tom

They could have popped the hoses off if they had frozen solid during the night. Have a look under the bonnet, pipe runs up passenger side of bonnet IIRC.

Have you tried unblocking them with a pin ?
Have you tried them with the bonnet open to see if the hose has come off ?
Does the pump make a noise when you try them ?

I would hazard a guess that the fuse has gone. This probably happened when they were used frozen, it overloaded the circuit and blew the fuse, known it happen on more than one occasion.

Please don't use a pin or such, you could damage the nozzle - a nylon bristle or better still compressed air to clear a blocked jet

I don't see how you would damage an S2 nozzle jet with a pin, the jet ball
            is stainless steel not plastic.

It's not best practice to clear jets with a pin, as some vehicles have nozzle jets made of softer materials, brass etc

Some compressed air will do, could be the pipe may be "pinched" in some places, best to have a proper look at it.

Turns out to be the washer jet motor which is near enough 100 sheets including VAT....all that for a squirt of water! Plus that's an MOT fail to boot.

                              Worse things happen
