Fuel Pump Wiring Harness - worthwhile ?

    http://www.034motorsport.com/chassis...t-p-18927.html

Seems like a worthwhile thing to do, like a relayed wiring harness for ABY headlights if not moving to HIDs ?

Anyone checked the voltage at their fuel pump before fitting and after fitting of the harness ?

    Thanks.

Once again 034 turned one of my DIYs (from 2004 in this case) into a commercial product.

The harness and relay probably adds at least 1 V to the supply to the fuel pump, at least for a C4 AAN 091G pump. The 034 kit is probably good value but if you want to do it DIY, it will be slightly less money:

Easy enought to buy a relay and wires yourself as well.

Kits are only useful if you have no electrical know how. It is real simple. Permanent earth battery to fuel pump. Then use a fused relay from battery +ve to pump using original loom to switch the relay.

Changed voltage from 12.2 to 14.4v at the pump by bypassing the old wiring in the car resulting in no lean spots at the high end of the rpm range.
