RS2 How to switch headlights from RHD to LHD

I just bought a RS2 LHD in the UK and understand it still has its original LHD headlights. From searching the internet and this forum I understand it is possible to switch the lights between use on RHD roads and LHD roads. As I am driving my car home to the Netherlands at some point I will have to switch this. On the internet reference is made to a lever on the headlights to switch between RHD and LHD.

Is there someone on here that could clarify a bit more if possible with a picture of the lever? Is this something that is easily done (for instance on the Eurotunnel train )

    Many thanks in advance.

I asked the same question a few weeks ago, and was given a proper answer. (Check in the Forum for the Thread). If you unclip the rear headlight covers you will find a small lever- moving this from left to right (or vise-versa) alters the beam angle.
    Ellipsoid only????
It's easy, I tried it on the N/S (Radiator Side) as it's the easiest to get to, but I'm sure you will be able to do both of them on the Eurotunnel (I'm hoping to, anyway in a few weeks-staying with French friends for the Wales/France game)

Just so it is clear... this lever does not convert the headlights, LHD to RHD or vice versa, all it does is flatten the beam, meaning that it covers the "kick up" of the beam at the edge. In reality it is lessening the light output.
It makes you legal, but is better to have the correct lights for whichever side you drive on

I understand! However, according to the current owner the car still has its original headlights which are adjusted for use on UK roads. Therefore, I will need to switch back to driving on the right side of the road when leaving the Eurotunnel.

Well, I have some LHD elipsoids..... an easy fix for the future may be a swap?

PM me if you are interested, but I am in Belgium right now, my spare lights are in the UK....

The car is a LHD and came from Germany but the headlights have never been swapped for RHD ones in the UK. If I understand it correct.

I'd check if S2 and C4 A6 low beam lens with frame are not the same, if they are, just get lenses with frames from A6 and swap them over. I remember someone saying he fitted A6 low beam reflector to his S2 ellipsoids.

Them forgive me, I don't see the issue?

It's a UK car, which has been driving in the UK, has passed a UK MOT, but still has LHD headlights fitted....

So, assuming the lever has been moved to flatten the beam for passing the UK MOT you just need to check it is in the "open" position when you get home. you would not even need to do this on the Eurotunnel as you would not be blinding anyone anyway en route... this is the only legal requirement, that you don't blind anyone....

As per the AA "The legal requirement is to 'not cause dazzle to oncoming drivers' rather than specifically to adjust/convert headlamp beam pattern."

As Chris says, what is the issue? It's no problem to drive around with a flat beam pattern. I often do this from forgetting to flick the lever when I return to the UK. I have just had a car Mot'd with a flat beam.
Just leave the job until you get home, if you are in any doubt.
If you want to know what the lever looks like, then here is a post with my photo of one

I guess vision is better without the flattened beam? In if it's an easy job why not do it in the tunnel?
