    Airbag warning on my RS2

After plugging in to the system, it has been revealed that my steering wheel airbag ignitor, right & Left belt sensor are showing high resistance value.
Nob question: this all has to be replaced or can they be repaired

Try erasing the faults first. They may go away. Otherwise you are looking at a heavy cost to replace all that as igniters are in the airbags/ seatbelts and ecu, so basically you are likely to be replacing everything by the looks of it

poor contacts in plugs....can give you high resistance... try cleaning them and use contact enhancer spray..

Try that and if doesn't help be on the look out on ebay.de for an airbags cable tree. Sometimes the problems are on the cables.

By the way is it a dual airbags system? Passenger side airbags as well?

            Passenger side airbag seems OK..
I will attempt to check on the contacts and harness.
            Thanks guys!

Had the air bag warning on mine a few years ago as well. It was only after clearing the fault a second time it went away. The light stayed on for a while after starting the car the other day as well, but then disappeared. Hope you sort it out. I think I may still have a spare seat belt tensioner igniter. Let me know if you decide to replace and I will have a dig around for it.

I had the same problem on my RS2 once. I took the steering wheel off and grinded a little on the contact surfaces with fine sandpaper and after that it was okay.

It is highly unlikely the units will need replacing. These igniters are very reliable. 99% of time its wiring or connections.
