Wouldn't touch one with a barge pole, leave it to the ecu.

If you so desire better off getting an uprated wastegate spring.

Because your take boost control away from ecu which will retard boost as and when necessary if there's pinking or other factors such as coolant temperature.
Also with boost controllers drivers have a tendancy to run at higher boost for longer periods limiting engine life.

Overboost on a ABY isn't permenant and only occurs in short bursts.

Japanese engines are a dime a dozen. Easy to replace.

Get a proper remap instead. Decent gains with safety retained. You don't want to FUBAR your engine.

hmm, is there any need for you to control high/low boost online? i think this is what BC is for?

There is one good thing with boost controllers. It allows you to set the boost up so that it gets high boost in all gears. The ECU on the S2 doesnt give full boost in the first few gears as the load isnt high enough.

If the car was setup with drag racing in mind then you could run high boost in low gears, but you would then run too much boost in higher gears.

A boost controller would keep this to a constant, say 2.0bar in every gear That would be cool
