    Electric shock

Any ideas why I keep getting fairly nice static shocks getting out of the car and touching the door, the missus thinks I've developed Tourette's when I keep shouting c*** everytime I get out the car

    Hi
One could say clothing, undergarments....in away.....but any sort of man made fabrics can build up static charge........(one reasons people self ignite at fuel stations, and not mobile fones).

Have you changed your range of clothing????

    Hope you get problem sorted

    cheers
    john

I second the footwear idea. Sometimes I can hear the faint tick sound of static from my hand when I approach my S2's door. It only happens when wearing one particular pair of shoes.

It's not the car storing up a static charge. It's us, wearing our shoes that are static insulators. The shock happens when we touch the vehicle and earth out little hands at the door handle.
