20v Coupe electrics not turning off

Hi guys, been lurking on here a while now, all the time dreaming of my future s2 and have recently picked up a 20v coupe, now with all 23 year old cars it does have a few niggles, i.e water ingress leaking PAS pump (now fixed) and one i didnt find until i got home was that when the ignition is turned off and key removed the heater fans, wipers and sidelights still turn on, windows don't work and neither does the sunroof when the key is removed so thats as it should be so its just the heater wipers and sidelights, I havent had too much time to investigate fully but i was hoping someone may be able to steer me in the right direction as it is draining the battery quite quickly which is obviously quite annoying.
Oh i've tried swapping ignition barrels but didnt seem to do anything.
    Cheers

In what kind of way? moisture causing connections when not supposed to? should i try pulling the lighting, wipers and heater fuses and see if i still get the battery drain?

I'd put money on the ignition switch myself.

I have tried changing the ignition barrel unless there is something else in the circuit that could cause this? And surely the Windows and sunroof would work as well? If I were to test the switch, which points should I be testing across?

To be honest it's cured itself so don't really know what it was/is hasn't done it in over a year so bit strange really.

Load reduction relay, ignition switch, wiring from ignition switch to fusebox, fusebox itself. These should be the things to check. Everything that works (and should not to) feeds from X (a.k.a load reduction) line.
Windows and sunroof doesn't work (which is right) because it feeds from live +12V (line 30) and ignition (line 15).
