Hi, I had this on mine - it was one of the front indicators that had water in it, the rubber O ring was missing & letting water in

      Indicator Fault

Cheers will check it out I have had trouble with water ingress on rear light units also the fault clears if I leave the indicator stalk in the right or left position switch ignition off switch it on again and flashers work fine until next time I thought it might be linked to the parking light system

Yep - sounds like water getting in either front or rear lamps & causing a short/bad earth - also check all connectors for corrosion

had an intermittent problem with indicators. also, sometimes front indicator coming on when brake pressed.
check or get a new rear cluster board. also make sure you've got all the correct bulbs fitted as this can sometimes cause issues.

Thanks guys tried all those points yet still got the problem indicators work then next time the hazards come on I cleaned the rear boards and greased the terminals only one terminal either side had corrosion thought I had it cracked but no , its strange but if I switch ignition off leaving the stalk in an indicator position, hazards flashing , then switch back on the fault clears until a short time later then the fault appears again ????

for how much a decent second hand cluster board costs its definitely worth getting one to try. you could be faffing about for ages chasing a dodgy connection in the board.
at least you'd either fix it or rule one of the main potential causes out.
plus, either way, you'd have a spare for some time in the future.
