    alternator differences

    whats the difference between a 3B alternator and ABY one,

    is it just the pulley ?

    can an ABY alternator be retro fitted to a 3b

    lost on this subject
    1991 S2 3B Coupe, KW v1, solid sub frames, poly bushed, chipped, about 260 ish

      Yes, I've got an ABY on my 3B. You just have to swap the pulley over, might have to add some washers to get it aligned correctly.

          ahh ok.. thank or the reply, what amp did you go for ?

          or did you replace one with the same amperage ?

          chuffed with that news i thought i was looking for hens teeth for a while

                  i was planning on fitting the highest rated one i could, 120 sounds nice .. will look into one of those, better ring the dude and tell him to leave the pulley off.
