Hi I`m trying to fix our old a4 aircon pump on the cheap basicly the unit seized solid and pulled the belt off
upon stripping the unit I was expecting a melted bearing but there was a plate at the very bottom of the pump which the screws had worked out, and wrapped this plate up jamming the unit.
I have a unit from a passat, but it only has the wires for the clutch. where the audi had some kind of pick up sensor which detects the plate inside the one which is wrapped up.
do you think the aircon will run without the sensor using to passat pump?.
