I'll take another look tomorrow, I looked under the flap yesterday but couldn't see if the connector would come out. What I don't want to do is break anything!! However, the Old Bill are hot on tail lights round here at the moment so need to get it sorted this weekend.

Take the black jack, unclip and raise up the small lower panel (where partnumber is casted) and some details will be visible.

Cleaning the kak off just above the connector might fix your problem...

started a topic Rear light connector wiring

    Rear light connector wiring

I'm having issues with my drivers side rear light. I believe there is a short as the indicator isn't working all the time and when I brake the rear light goes off and the indicator light comes on. It looks like this is down to the 2 wires that go into the same connector in the picture below. I believe on wire may be for the rear light & the other goes off to the indicator. Wiggling these 2 wires causes the indicator to work/not work so really need to get the wires disconnected to see what is going on.

I can't see how to get the connector off, does the connector on the wire pull out or do all the wires plug into 1 big connector?

    Cheers
