    Buzzing relay

    Hi,

    Anyone had a 204 Relay that buzzed?
    One of the ones on my tdi sounds like there is a wasp inside it every now and then. Guess its faulty and need replacing

      My 324 (fan stage 1) buzzes when it kicks in, draws current too, should just need a replacement! Something is getting stuck in there...

          I had this on my indicators, turned out to be the indicator switch, not the relay !

          You can strip the switch and clean the contacts, If I can do it then anybody can.

          It's not always the relay !

              I swapped the two 204 relays over in the fuse board and the noise came from the same one so Im pretty sure its the relay thats at fault. Hopefully I have a spare one laying around at home.

                  the replacementrelay for the "relay 204" is 4H0951253A. around 13€ at the dealer.

                  @ross: i would try to resolder that relay. that one is for the coolant pump and the fan stage 1. the relays normaly have some cracked solder joints.
