More 3B pin swap advice needed.

Got my MOT this afternoon and would like to sort the pin swap for the ellipsoids before I go, thought it was going to be straight forward but there's a large green/yellow (presume earth wire) in position 1, any ideas where I put that wire so I can swap the others around.

I'm probably be a mong, I'm sure I could work it out with a multimeter and some head scratching but would rather advice from someone who has BTDT.

It's unlikely to be an earth, wrong colour based on Audi's typical schema.

Cheers, there we go I'd got that wrong I've got all morning to sort it so I'll go and have a play with my multimeter and see if I can work out what that wire is for.

If I remember right that is the wire for the dim-dip DRL which is only present on early model cars.
I just removed that from the connector (as it makes HIDs strobe).

Remove grey/yellow wire from position 9
Move brown / yellow wire to position 1
Move yellow from position 7 to position 8

Insulate yellow/green and grey/yellow wires and tuck out of the way. No more strobe effect on sidelights

                Sorted, ellipsoids now working properly.

For reference the grey/yellow wire which I disconnected was is position 13 on my car.

But I thought the pin swap didn't work on cars with height adjustable lights?

As for the strobe on sidelights I had that with one of my LED sidelights but only after a year so I assume it was just broken?

My car has height adjustable lights, they even still work, no problems now I've done the pin swap

And Chris, yes she passed, just got back from the test station.
