    What is it ?

Found this big silver Relay ?
Has a big connector attached to it (sorry forgot to take a pic)
Under the rear seat of my coupe. Its huge and easily half the size of my ECU so what is it ?
For what this cost me so far I could have bought an S2

Maybe. I just googled "audi abs control unit"
Anyway there's no other control unit that big and matches description under rear seat than ABS.

I'll snap a pic of it tomorrow but it looks very similar to the one in the pic.

Thanks Dave but I'm not looking to 'buy' one I just came across it and thought I should remove it before it goes to the scrappers

I will put it up for sale in my parts thread if it's worth a couple of bob. (with a part number).

I have about ten of those from various Audi's, they almost never go wrong so they almost never sell. I've had them on eBay for a fiver and given up

I do sometimes wonder, do I take that part off as it might sell or will it sit on the shelf for two years or just let it go with the shell !

Never said anything about you buying one, just that if we had the PN, I (or somebody else) could tell you what it was for sure.

It's worth keeping the smaller silver control unit under the rear seat, it's the one for the diff lock. As a rule stuff that breaks easily or wares out always sells as does anything that gets damaged in a bump.
