My fuel gauge has stopped working and I'm also getting the fuel tank warning in the check control flashing and the little gauge that's flashes 30 miles went down in increments of 10 when I was driving along and is now flashing E in a matter of a hundred yards I know for a fact it has half a tank of fuel the only thing I found was my son did a vcds test yesterday and when I went to check the fuse he had left the fuse cover of and it's been pi--ing down with rain all night and I noticed water in the fuse board I'm thinking that the water as shorted something. I tried again tonite after leaving it all day I turned on the ignition and the fuel gauge went to half then started dropping and everything started flashing again am I right ref something as shorted.
