That is really interesting. Let me just add some more complexity to the whole loop.
1st I am not using the original Motronic from the AEB rather than a really custom build ECU using Mega CPU.

The signal for the RPMs comes directly from the ECU where you can configure it to match either 4 cyl or 6 cyl. Apparently it doesn't suit me hence I get the wrong threshold.
As I mentioned before, the whole cluster (dash) is from ACE 2.0 Compettiotn so it should work properly logically, but that is not the case.

You need to connect this white/grey wire from F1 onto pin 2 (two) on the OPM relay - the 4-cyl version so that rpm scale is correct (otherwise will be 20% or 25% wrong rpm threshold).
So in this case, the cable that comes out of my ECU should be connected directly to pin 2 on the OPM relay ?

D'oh... if you are using aftermarket ECU then I have no clue if the rpm output from that will be anything like compatible with factory Audi instrument. You would need to contact the ECU manufacturer for support on that - get a datasheet or some description of what the RPM signal looks like - then we have a chance to adapt it into the ACE cluster.

As for the oil pressure monitoring - that has nothing to do with your aftermarket ECU... just connect white/grey wire from F1 sensor on the AEB engine to pin 2 on the OPM relay... but don't expect it to work perfectly until RPM scaling is working !

I am so sorry but I can't get anywhere with this. Where is the pin 2 omp located ? I am terribly confused.
