    AAN engine loom questions.

I've been digging around in the AAN loom and pulled out unnecessary wiring and plugs as it is in my 4000CS (typ85 90). I've removed the different colored plugs and pulled the wiring not connected anywhere and I'm left on 2 wires, going to different connectors and both ends up in a multiwire crimp (used in many places for different grounds as this case and 5V and 12V feeds).
It's the wires from the F76 plug pin 3 to G22 pin 1. I guess this wire is completely useless but I need to ask before removing it completely. The wires are black with a blue stripe. All the other wires from the multiwire crimp were dead ends. I remember reading somewhere that pin 3 on the F76 were only used in earlier S4 looms and on later F76 sensors this pin do not even exist.

I created a new thread although other loom threads are around, and most likely will more questions arise.

i have also adapt a AAN engineloom in my b2 coupe and if i look on my original wirediagram from urs4 i see other wire colors than yours
on the f76 plug: pin1 brown/yellow (temp gauge)
    pin2 blue/green (ac ecu)
    pin3 ground
    pin4 blue/yellow (dash,think temp warninglamp)

    and for the g22: pin1 -
    pin2 brown/red (speedometer)
    pin3 brown (ground)

maybe you have a AAN engineloom from urs6?

I have no idea from what car this loom is as it was installed by the previous owner who did the engine swap.

Looks like I could pull the wire then without no problem. The only pin connected on the F76 plug was pin 1, which had a wire cut and soldered onto the pin from the original 4000 loom, connecting it to the temp gauge in the dash. But I guess I haven't got the temp warning connected then... Would be a good idea to look into it where to find the wire in the 4000 loom. Anyhow going to crimp a new pin onto the wire to the temp gauge and put the F76 into the 4000 loom as it is no use having it in the AAN engine loom doing a dead end.

Going to continue this thread asking for a bit of identifying wire terminals names.

These two are the same type, just the size differs. Commonly found in different loom connetors, for example the colored connectors for the main fuse box.

I have only found this type of terminal in the F76 MTFS connector.

This one is found in different dash switches and a couple of relay connectors. I've got some similar terminals, but they don't lock into the connectors at all. I'd like to get my hands on a couple of these to get the wiring properly done and not having a load of crimp butt connectors.
