Rev Counter Not Working

Hi Guys,

Friend of mine has a 94 UrS4 and the Rev Counter is not working.

I guess it will be a similar set up to the S2 and many other 1990's Audi's etc.

Anybody throw any light on the subject, things to check etc?

Check connector between ecu and dashboard. However it should not fail by itself. Sorry don't remember colour or number of connector.
