How do you take the visor apart to get to the bulbs? simple flick of a screwdriver?
Pull the visor down and leave the mirror flap down, you'll see on the bottom of the mirror flap two very small notches either side, just get a terminal screwdriver in and ease each side out a bit at a time. The whole mirror front just pops off to reveal the bulbs and light switch behind. Put it back on the same way, ie leave the mirror flap closed as you may damage the switch behind.

Bit of advice on changing the visor lamps to LED.

I did this on my avant a while back and the LED version is wider than the filament lamp. This means the LED touches the metal reflector which is also the earth for the lamp. Cue blown fuses.

All you need to do to fix it is wrap a small piece of insulating tape around the widest part of the LED cap and all is fine.

Funny you should mention that as my fuse blew today and now the left side of the lamp wont light up

              Hello,

I made also LEDs in my car. I took all Lights of the new Audi A8, the light is cold white, I like that much:

made floor area light of the new A8 in front and back, door light of the new A8 etc.

              here are some pics:

                Very nice Christian
Have you got the part numbers for the interior handle lights from the A8 and also the ones that light the floor area? or a link to what you used?

                Thanks

I'm looking to replace by interior lights but I can't seem to find any of these 11mm x 42mm dome festoon bulbs...

Could anyone point me in the direction of the correct bulbs?
