    No indicators, wipers, windows

The missus has just returned from using the car (Audi B4 80 2.3E saloon) and has told me she has no indicators, wipers and windows (and maybe some other things)

I thought it would be a fuse as all the functions (apart from windows) are on the same one, no such luck

Ive quickly removed relays and refitted to see if its a bad contact but no different. Has anybody had this fault or can point me in the right direction before i start stripping the dash down.

I have recently (last 6 months) fitted a good second hand switch

The car will start up and drive ok. Ignition lights come on as normal. Hazard lights work. indicator switch will dip and main beam.

Still ignition switch? im just gunna read the link

        Hi Shaun,

I'm not perfect, but for such a relatively inexpensive item, I feel it's a false economy to fit a second hand part, especially when it is a pita to fit, and is pivotal to a car's operation.

        Sorry, just sayin........

That was false economy and a waste of your time. Always replace with new dealer part on this item.

          Just sayin'

Its not a pita to fit

I can see your point but when ive got 3-4 kicking around im not gunna pay for a new part

Im not convinced its the switch at fault? i will get out one of my other second hand ones and test tomo.

Well at least it as easy as that. Had thought it was hard to change.

I remember seeing a thread that someone like Febi did it, but on this occassion a dealer might be the best bet. You don't want you other half getting browned off with old cars.
