Can any one confirm these two sensors to be the same units just with different colour plugs?

Both have 900 ohm resistance?

I believe so mate I have swapped them round before fault finding and both work as either sender

If you look around you can also find some cheaper alternatives spec'ed for other Audis. The lengths are the only difference, so you may have one that is a little longer, but is a lot cheaper.

One with out a lead would be great tom just like the Saab knock sensors

Same mechanically. 900 ohms is about correct. The plug colours are different so you don't swap them at the connector rack and confuse the **** out of the ECU (and get a no start)
