    HIDs with integrated earths

...anyone bought any HIDs recently and can tell me if they need to run an external earth like older ones do or have they managed to integrate or do away with them. I seem to be triggering the bulb out and despite trying to clean up the earths they still chime which is annoying me. I have done the stalk mod and for a good while i never saw an auto-check now its triggered every time which is di**ing me off no end.

    Cheers

bought a set about 6 weeks ago, just ran a short wire with spade from the post on the rear of headlight assembly to the earth connection within the kit

I have hids for more than 5 years now and all I had to do is connect the plugs to existing plugs. Nothing external. So I they probably have improved since you bought a kit

I have one of the slimline HID kits from years ago that doesn't require the separate earth.

Most ebay kits are pretty good. Even being Chinese. I haven't looked at them for a while but when I bought mine I was afraid of them being Chinese and bought a spare set. Haven't used the spare for ages ( I think I only have the modules not the lamps)

VVME kits have a great reputation and price. I've been super impressed with the output of the 55w kit in mine using RS2 headlights. To do it over again I'd go with 5500K instead of 4500K, as the higher output seems to wash out the colour a bit so they're slightly yellow.

                            Hi!
I've a HID conversion kit since 11 years and the first big and slow kit is the best that I test on this years.
Now I make a D2S conversion and I don't know who kit buy for replace my very big ballast and starter kit.
                            I'm doubting between those ones:
Shop LED headlight bulbs, HID xenon kits and iCarsoft diagnostic tools at HIDS-DIRECT. Fast UK delivery on trusted automotive lighting and diagnostics.

Choose D2S Canbus Pro 55W 12V HID Xenon Kit for your Xenon headlight Upgrade. Canbus Pro 55W kits boast 300% more brightness than standard car lights !

The first one is only the ballast and the second have two bulbs (that at the moment I don't need).
The kit that you wrote before, have a lot of elements on outside, the ballast, the ignitor and other one

And I think it's better a smaller element behind the headlight, for not obstruct the passage of air to the filter.

PS: I can't believe how someone can put the ballast 1 meter of the headlight...
