RS2 (or S2 or probably anything from that era) - Overhead light cluster schematics

    Hiya,

I'm wanting to hardwire in my dash cam and wondered if anyone had the schematics for the overhead light cluster?

Hoping that there is accessory power (only on when engine on) I can grab.

With my limited knowledge I would thought it would only be a live connection (that is controlled by doors or the switch that toggle, door, on or off).

If this is the case I'd wire in something that toggles on \ off from a voltage drop \ rise.

    Cheers

    John

I would run off the small +12v wire on the ignition switch. You have switched 12v whenever the ignition is on and until you remove the key.

Thanks, yeah, that was my other option. Just wanted to keep the 'pulling stuff apart' localised to the general area.

actually, have will just grab the sun roof feed. Forgot about that! Have a 12v > 5v converter so we're in business.
