Has anyone tried these? They keep coming up and some are as affordable as a good HID kit.

They seem bulky.
I have 2 questions.
1) I suspect they don't fit with the rear cover on the rs2 headlamps, right?
2) seemingly they use fans. Does that mean they get very hot?
I bought a set BT I'm wondering if they will fit as my air filter is very close to the head lamp's rear cover on the right side...Comment

That is correct, many complaints with rear cover fitting. The fan radiator is quite long. I am interested too if they will get shorter and able to use the OE headlight cover otherwise in a couple of months need new headlights.UrS4 "PK Motorsport"Comment

I didn't think LED's produced a lot of heat, I thought the whole point of them was more light less heat??
*I just did a highly scientific test by putting my T6 CREE LED torch up to my top lip, there was a tiny amount of radiant warmth but nothing compared to a regular bulb, definitely not halogen which would likely have scolded me making me cross.Last edited by cardcrash; 26 November 2015, 09:58.RS2 - Project Mental Wheels

Buyers opinions are very different. Some are complaining about the wattage too low (eg. 30w equivalent of 250-300w regular light bulb, but still not strong enough), some about no difference on low/high beam, etc. These things are quite new and perhaps they will get better as time passes by. As far as the car headlight does not have magnifying glass type i think is a huge mistake to put these on. Same thing applies for AM Xenon lights. They are not legit and light produced is nothing but to annoy the drivers coming from opposite way.UrS4 "PK Motorsport"Comment

I have a set of Vled's on my MB. http://www.vleds.com/shop-products/lmz/vx3.html
My headlamps are 7" round lenses with rubber boots as caps; they are also hi/low bulbs.
The light output is very nice.
The heat sink on the back is awkward. My installation was very easy with the rubber covers. My set doesn't have a cooling fan. I'm suspicions of a cooling fan mounted to a light bulb.
I can't provide before pictures, but the output is far greater than all the halogen bulbs I've tried. The high low work perfectly. The only issue is when I pull the lever to flash hi beams the can-bus system reports bulb out. If I turn the high beam to the on position there is no warning.//-\\ ((_)) //)) //Comment
