Here's a quirky little fault to be wary of.
Since I bought my car back in February, the rear driver side door lock was always stiff. It was always the last to lock and last to open. Recently, it stopped opening at all, although if you manually opened it (ie pull the knob up (ooo er missus!)), it would lock itself OK via central locking.
Yesterday, I went to unlock the car and only the drivers door unlocked. I originally thought that I had a flat battery, but it had plenty of juice.
It turned out that because the central locking mechanism in the rear door was so crudded up and stiff, that the effort to try and lock/unlock the door had popped the fuse.
I took the door to bits last night and emptied half a can of WD40 over the locking mech. Replaced the fuse and Hey Presto.....it works!
So if you have any sticky locks anywhere, squirt WD40 everywhere before your fuses melt down!
