    Airbag Wiring Schematics

Looking for the electrical schematics for the Airbags & Seat Belts with pretensioner igniters for a 1995 Audi Coupe. S2central does not appear to be available at this time.
The North American Coupes ('88 to '91) utilized the PROCON-Ten restraint system. My intention is to upgrade the Supplemental Restraint System as fitted in the '93 to '95 Euro models, into my USA spec Coupe. I have acquired a pair of European Market Coupe front seat belts with pretensioner igniters & have the Airbag system from a '95 90 sedan. The plan is that these parts will talk nice to one another when fitted together. The sedan seat belts are physically configured differently than the Coupe & will not interchange. This is part of the wiring harness upgrade to allow the use of the later model Climate Control in my Ersatz S2 project.

    TIA, Chris

I am using the later style Automatic Climate Control from a '95 Quattro 90S. It has the later style climate control head rather than the archaic GM derived system that it came with. I am using the entire dash wiring harness from the same car.

Chris, I did this swap (first time) 5 years ago, i even swapped the dash from a cabriolet (just for the look)
Other then running few wires, the b4 heater box is a stand alone/complete unit, the central electric harness doesnt need to be swapped.

Second time it was much quicker, and we did the engine harness at the same time.

And for information, I only used this forum and Paul's s2central site.

The '95 90S Quattro donor car also had IR door locks that I wanted to install on the Coupe as well as the latter climate control stuff. My intent is to build as close as possible an ABY B4 Coupe with all the bells & whistles. The SRS upgrade mentioned here falls under this build plan. I actually have parted two Cabriolets as well as the '95 90Q for the updated harnesses of the later cars. Did not think then to get the seat belts of the Cabriolets since the did not look like I would ever be using them. I have a dual air bag dash in grey for the one coupe but will only use a single airbag in the one I am currently working on. Unless I decide to part out the Cabriolet with a black dash that I am trying to sell. I have spent hours looking at Paul's S2central website but it is currently not working. Or my computer is broken. I suppose I could look at the Bentley manual for the B4 cars for the information I seek.

At the moment the project car has become my daily while I sort out my S6. Currently on the Coupe, the BoxsterS Big Brake Kit has been installed, 5-lug swap is done & the under seat battery box is fitted. The steering column for the later B4 cars has been retrofitted & the sport steering wheel feels & looks great. I currently have no hazard flashers, only turn signals, but this will be remedied when the B4 harness is installed. Cruise Control & Trip Computer function has been retained with the steering column swap. Waiting on the heater core to blow before commencing on the climate control upgrade, engine swap & 01e installation. The Torsen for the rear diff is on the workbench. Still in need of a 3" exhaust system, a good clutch & projector beam headlamps. Then there is the matter of a respray......
