    Immobilizer Again

    Annoying problem ...

My immobilizer is acting up again where from time to time it kicks on and fails to recognize the key.

The only way around this is for me to turn on the lights and / or the wipers and let the charge in the stalks dissipate and try again. This work around seems to do the trick each and every time but it is getting super annoying.

All the wiring around the immobilizer has been checked and rechecked a bunch of times and the error code is the "intermittent signal."

Some say it's the battery, some say it's the grounding wires for the stalks coming loose and creating interference for the immobilizer, some say it's a failed reader coil.

Any help / thoughts on the issue?

    Thanks,
    Sasha

            I've reached out .... thanks.

I checked the fuses to see if they may be incorrectly seated that may be interfering with the immobilizer relay but no luck. I did notice that I didn't have a control unit shift lock ... just a piece of metal seated into the board. This fuse is only for automatic engines right?

Anyway ... any further help would be great.

            Cheers,
            Sasha
