    Sunroof mechanism refurb?

I've noticed that sunroof is pretty slow and takes a while to close. So my question is, can it be cleaned and greased without taking the whole thing off the car, or is it something that is better done with the whole mechanism on the table?

    Thanks

The mechanism is a long spring which runs in metal tubing. Best to get the whole lot off and run it back and forwards with some cleaner and then re-lube.

Thanks guys. I'll try without taking it off first, if it doesn't work, it'll have to wait till I get all bits bought to retrim headliner. I guess same approach goes for window motors, get rid of old grease and put some new in?
