If it has the computer in Mpg rather than L/100 then you can fit just the LCD screen from this to you bleeding one. (Assuming yours is a UK car)

The legends are printed directly to the glass of the LCD screen which is why it matters, no other reason.

A C4 S4/6 has a boost function rather than an instant mpg readout!!!!

Ok, I didn't know this. But the screen itself will work - you would need a solution for screen printing on the glass ( also removing the old text)

No it won't, the C4 cluster uses a different pin out for the screen connector

Strange.... perhaps the LHD S2 is different? I fitted one and it fires up the screen perfectly...

LCDs from a C3 are the same as B3/B4 cars. C4s have bigger pin spacings.

Interesting, then the one which was sold to me as C4 (and works fine) must have actually been a C3?

C4 100/S4 will fit, A6/S6 will not.

What about a European s2 coupe which would read in Km/h. Would the lcd work from that?

Display is all the same regardless what's printed on it - L/100km, MPG or bar. KMh or MPh was just a question of coding card which you can swap over anyway

Just to conform - I have a fully working Frankencluster in my car - gen2 RHD S2 cluster with gen1 LHD V6 speedometer (with S2 faceplate swapped over), regular B4 80 check/trip computer with C4 100 display in it.
