813971988 was replaced with 813972926 which brings up the following for daylight or dim-dip lights.

Got my N47 wrong as that's for the fan.

dim dip wiring for the headlamps is a long resistive wire and is N74

No. N47 component looks like this, and it is 3B S2-specific:

Back in the 70's (I believe) Ford used something similar as a Ballast Resistor for the ignition coil, but surely Audi wouldn't have still been using this idea??
From memory, Ford used such a cable, but across the engine bay, where it could be kept cool.

Hello All

Anyone have any idea what this wiring is for?
It is a loop approx of 7M coming from a yellow plug under the dash
Plug p/n 813971988 / 955 with two yellow and green/yellow and a loop of opaque/black
The wiring runs along the o/s and across the body under the rear seat bench and back
This is in a NG coupe quattro, I can't find any reference to it.
