    fitting new gauges, not VDO

I'm going to replace all of the Aux gauges, electrical ones not machanical obviously, will it be a simple case of just swapping the wires from the terminals of the old gauges to the new gauges, provided the gauges are replaced like for like, i.e old in bar new in bar.

The original gauges will have a certain voltage that will take it FSD or a voltage will correspond to a certain temp/pressure, so im just wondering if you can do a direct swap, has anyone else done this?

    cheers

Was also Contemplating changing the gauges on mine, and how about replacing the battery voltage gauge with something more useful like a air/fuel mixture gauge.
Also planning to change the colour of the back light of the dash lighting. Give it a new look blue/red ....

I was also going to suggest that - if you're taking the trouble to swap out your dials, replace the fairly uninteresting Alternator voltage one with something more fun - boost gauge perhaps?

already have a boost gauge in the center vent, the volt gauge would be the easiest one to replace, in that it wouldnt need to be calibrated etc..
