Help! A challenge for the fundis

When I drove into work today, I realised my indicators and wipers were not working. I bit of a problem as we are in the heart of the rainy season. I know for a fact that both were working last night though and here's the tricky bit. Switch off the car, switch on the ignition only(don't start the car) and it all works!
Start the car, and it neither works again.

Any ideas chaps??

Ignition switch or x-relief relay spring to mind. The x-relief is triggered when you start the car to cut out all the consumers to give as much power as possible to the engine.

I would think the ignition switch is at fault. The contacts are probably sticking inside.

Was gonna suggest the relief relay also.

Worth also checking that the fuse box cover is on properly to prevent any water getting in to the fusebox etc.
