I got the rad back in yesterday afternoon but had to use the original washer on the single wire oil pressure sensor adapter so I will order a new one of those and take it apart again. Ive got a very slight weep of oil as far as i can see. but this may be residue left from changing it so I will be keeping a close eye on it the next few days.

The good news is that the car isnt smoking any more and it seems to be running well and not using oil. But im still on my push bike until its been checked at the garage tommorow.

I think the reason for the smoke was on boost the oil pressure is highest (5bar) so was leaking more and getting sprayed from the under tray where there was a pool of it onto the exhaust causing all of the smoke.

    fingers crossed.

yup, ive driven in today and the signs are good so far. Off for a compression check later on so will find out what the compression is like on all of the cylinders and see if there is still an underlying problem
