Help Hesitation/missfire

Just rebuilt my engine. Problem is when i decide to have a spirited drive, at high revs in low gears on WOT, it tends to hesitate and and blackish smoke exhausts out.
But if i take it easy or when outside temps are cooler with progressive throttle it drives fine. Not had it re-mapped since i had Cat-bypass, and cone filter as i pressumed the ECU would compensate. Planning to get it mapped by Minhea on his next visit to UK.
But i need to make sure everything is perfect first.
Any input would be appreciatted.

What is that showing?

peaks 25psi at about 3500rpm then holds it all the wy to the redline.

Maybe spark plugs breaking down, or coil pack or suppressor or the spark amplifier.

How many miles has it done?
What oil are you using?
Could be the coils are worn out, and the oil is escaping past the seals in the turbo.

MILEAGE : 102,000
OIL : Castrol RS 10-60W
TURBO : PERFECT BACK FROM AET ENGINEERING
SMOKE : black smoke not blue which suggests overfuelling. not burning oil


Software problem or ignition(coil pack) ???

What age is your car - is it a 3B or an ABY?
Have you got access to VAG-COM, have you checked to see if its logging any fault codes?
Has the lambda probe been changed recently? My car was running badly recently, turned out to be just a simple worn lambda.

Strange, I noticed car running better on regular unleaded than on super unleaded.
How could this be. Could the MTM software favour 95 ron to 97 ron?

MTM chip definitely wants 97RON, my car usually runs very retarded on 95, a noticable loss of power.

How Do U Test/check Coil Pack And Amplifier???

I'm Asuuming its an ABY, I had to swap my coils with another car before I realised this was the problem with mine when my RS2 misfired at WOT.
Not too sure how to test them but there are other posts on coils and amps which you may do a search for on the forum.

The suppressors are the parts that link the individual coils to the spark plugs.
Those were cracked on my old urS4 and also caused missing problems.

It's actually an ADU engine (RS2) and symptoms you have mentioned are exactly
the same at WOT.
Anyone here with a spare set of coilpack and ampilfier
It's getting to the point i feel like taking it to QST/Dialyxn

CHECKLIST:
1) Check exhaust camshaft postioning(would this cause high boost misfire)
2) Check sparkplugs torque
3) Check amplifiers
4)replace all coilpacks
5) if all fails ???
