Holding Back

Aite guys,
Can ne 1 help me? My S2 3b aint running good at all, there seems to b a boost leak, but from xperience my 1st S2 had a simillar prob that turnd out 2 b an air pipe. This car seems to hav the problem alot worse, it missfires alot and holds bak btween 3 n 4 rpm. After takin it to Audi, I hav been advised to start with the air mass meter as this fault code wuld not erase. The part is 400 plus vat, I have managed to get a used meter to c if it makes ne difference. Can ne1 tell me wot else I shuld luk 4?

search for 'ambient pressure' sensor and follow repair procedure.worked on mine when it was holding back.on mine i could only alter the reading between 1 and 3.you'll see what i mean when you do it,if it's the same.

Did the used one make any difference?? Did they check the wiring back to it?? If it wont clear due to a broken/cut!! wire then buying a new MAF wont cure it!!

Let me know if you need any boost hoses, i have all my original ones to try on yours if you need any and i'm only down the road

wot is the ambient pressure sensor? aint got a clu about most ov these part names.
wuld appreciate those hosses chris, if u can giv me a call on 0777xxxxxxxxxx. havnt been able to start it on the other MAF. hopefully friday.
