Methinks I may try some of this on my VR6 - runs at 100 after a motorway run into traffic even with new rad, aux pump, G12...
Nothing feels fast for long...

Well it arrived already, that's the quickest service I've ever had off ebay. Wiill put in car today and see what happens!
@Guy - do you use it with the standard coolant, or just with water?Ex S2 owner, now running around in an A4 Avant quattro...

Just add it to your normal antifreeze/water mix Dan.
You may need to drain/extract a bit of coolant out of the expansion tank beforehand though, and it will take a while to thoroughly mix in the cooling system for max effect when added to the expansion tank.Comment

Cool - I'll draw off a bit of coolant and pour it in. I've got a 120mile drive to make this evening, that should mix it around a bit?
Will report back next week. Currently my car runs 2 notches above 90 in pretty much all driving conditions, with the low-speed fan coming on regularly which keeps it all under control.
I have a 3B, with no Aux Rad, and a malfunctioning Air-Con system. Let the tests commence...Ex S2 owner, now running around in an A4 Avant quattro...

i used it when we went on a 3,000 mile drive round europe to the french and european GP, worked really well in hot temps and stationary traffic leaving the circuits. I noticed the fan took a while longer to cut in initially but didn't actually notice much difference in where the needle sat on the guage. Someone on the forum told me that the hotter the engine runs the better for economy so this stuff kinda defeated the object but I think its a decent product, no noticeable problems with my cooling system, if anything it helped to dislodge a load of gunk from the water channels which i flushed out when i changed coolant a couple of months after coming back home...sigpic

Hi All,
Used Water Wetter when worked with Rallycross team, put it in a mini renound for overheating and stopped it winging. These motors got a serious hammering and the WW defo had positive affects
However if your cars got an overheating problem find the cause don't try and mask it with fancy water

Well drove 600miles at the weekend, most of it in the very hot English weather (30C ambient temp).
I can honestly say I don't think this stuff made any difference what so ever. Water temp stayed pretty much around my usual just above 90 to 2blobs above 90, fan came on as usual when required and the car ran normally. I can't say that it did any harm either though. Its about better heat conduction , your car should run st same temp !!! thats what your thermostat does but should heat up faster & and not raise much higher than
running temp when driven hard & possible lower oil temps also ??

Nope, oil temps were just the same as normal. As I said, from the driver's perspective, this appeared to have no discernable effect on the car. Difficult to do a proper blinded controlled study here of course - what we should probably do is get two identical S2s and put WW in one and not the other and see if we can measure any differences, but that's not going to happen!
Well I probably wasted £10, but there you go.Ex S2 owner, now running around in an A4 Avant quattro...

I know for sure that the Redline Water Wetter works, lowerer the temps on my RX-7 by 10-15 degrees.
Tried putting it in the RS2 on saturday. No difference here, but that was expected since the coolingsystem is more than good enough from before. The thermostat controls the watertemps and the wetter will not lower the temps below the thermostat opening temps.Comment
