    Silicone hose to WGFV warning

Just a short note to explain to ppl my latest running problem.

I was getting stpid amounts of boost on the car, like 2.4 bar at redline! It was great, but wasnt gonna make it last for too long. After cleaning the WGFV and that didnt work, i traced the problem to a split silicone hose from the turbo cold side. Cut it off and clippe dit back on and the car was fine for about 2 days. Then it did the same again.

Basically the hose has become brittle with the heat from the turbo and now breaks every other day. So i have ordered a length of the geniune hose. It may be grey and boring, but at least it lasts and wont cause a potential engine breakage. If i didnt have those uprated rods it would have been bye-bye engine.

ive had the same prob before on my last car. the 3 or 5mm silicone vac hose from the dump valve to IM used to go brittle and break from under bonnet temps. a good alternative is the cotton/braided type rubber hose which looks good and lasts as long as original stuff.

got mine from a place called fuelsystems but their website doesnt seem to be working. im sure demon tweeks have it in their motorsport cat

It was some hose I bought from AET, which i beleive is SFS hose. Although it had no labels on it.
