    fan speed problem

ok,rad fan will only run at full speed, temp is ok and fan is cutting in at correct time, tried changing slow speed relay but still only get the full speed, would it be the fan resistor thats packed up or a dodgy fan switch?any ideas?????

Ok then. The fan motor itself is internally 2 speed one on 3B cars. Measure the fan motor from the connector that you have resistance on both speed pins. HTH to get you started.

will check in the morning, fan speed is regulated by the resistor under the washer bottle though right?

The single resistor is for the lowered speed after run cooling sequence circuit.

there are 2 more relays and a fuse buried under the dash drivers side for the fan however the sticker on the dash undertray with relay and fuse position bares no resemblance to the layout under the dash, anyone know which relay/fuse is which????

This may help although there were numerous changes during the various model years so it's by no means complete.

I really need to revamp that page and it's not very user friendly.

The afterrun controller is brown and looks like this:

the after run tcp is working fine and i believe it should trigger the slow speed fan too,not sure exactly which temp sensor triggers slow speed which should engage at approx 84 degrees if i remember correctly...
