Looked through a couple of threads on strokers. Now, seems that the AET and AEL need to be welded to porperly seat the headgasket. Is this absolutly necessary? I maen, can't I use a TDI gasket? Or a custom one? I mean, there are custom gaskets avaliable, isn't there???

My engine is a KG. I am using tdi head gasket. You have to drill bigger holes for water.--------------------------------------------------------

Yeah, I checked through that. It did not say that I could use a TDi gasket, nor did it say that I couldn't... So I asked again. That is a super stroker thread... Not a super-stroker... a super stroker-thread... Well you know.
Aron - did I get you right - you have a 2.5tdi block and a 20v head and you run a tdi gasket? You just modified the gasket or did you do something to the head or bottom end?Last edited by Henka; 12 August 2005, 18:57.Comment

I am using 20v head and 10v block.
What i did.
1. Welded the big oval hole and make a circle hole on the head.
2. Make the same size water hole on the tdi gasket as the 20v headgasket.
