    MAF Hot wire burn off

Do any of you wise people know how the hot wire burn off system works/is wired. is it via a separate thermal relay or a power feed from the ECU which is activated when you switch the ignition off?

    Thanks in advance,

    Darren.

If you browse the Technical pages on http://s2central.net in the engine/motronic chapters you'll find some info on this and the MAF. There's even a wee video of the burnup sequence.

I'd need to look up the books for the full answer, but there is indeed a relay inside the ECU which controls this function. Pretty sure I have a pinout and schematic info on the site.
