Im guessing it may be the WGFV if its going too high, ive been keeping an eye on it and its not everytime i floor it, only sometimes, so sticky WGFV perhaps?

Sau, how do you know how much boost the homefries should run???????????
I don't know, I guess from my expierence. Usually homefry tuners usually max out stock ABY (I guess 1995 S2 is aby) pressure sensor on overboost. That is 1.5 bar - right ? .
Also I have seen some "god only knows where from it came" chipsets which did the same...
Am I wrong ?

Well going by the turbo map for the K24 a maximum of about 1.3 - 1.4 boost is the norm. The wee K24 isn't terribly efficient at these levels for long so air temps will get out of control unless boost is substantially reduced at the redline...

Interesting. Local backyard tuners used to run up to 1.9 bar with K26 (probably air hot as hell). So I thought 1.5 bar is quite normal with K24.
Now I am thinking in other way . Thanks for explaination
So if my killer chip is making 1.5 bar - does it mean, that my engine is getting too hot air to be efficient and too exaustive to the that tiny fast spinning thingy called k24 ?
And could someone explain me that "turbo inefficient - air too hot" situation, when I use huge intercooler. Is the pressure dropping in the intercooler when air is cooling to the temperatures suitable for engine ? I mean if I have megaboost with megahot air, and add megacool intercooler to the system, then after air cools down and pressure drops, I just get moderate boost with badly worn or blown turbo ?

Turbo inefficiency, basically the turbo gets to a point where it is no longer compress the air in the given compressor space and increasing the boost pressure beyond this point just results in heating the air and increasing the charged air temperature.
He had a boost spike - so was driving part throttle for a while.
Driving part throttle is not going to cause a lump of metal to fall out of an exhaust port. If it was the seat or valve that had melted then it would be related. The ports have been opened out too much - it was only a matter of time. I expect he got the head done at the same place my head was done by the previous owner (both work was done by the same garage) - not a good job done on either of them - both have had problems due to bad workmanship.
