Do a search mate there is plenty of information on here for doing those jobs.

The MAF is located just by the airbox, it has a plug connecting in to it and labelled Bosch.

To clean this, remove it from the car, which is straight forward to do and put it in a bath op IPA, do not totally submerge the MAF tho, just the wire inside it, keep the connector part dry at the top, cleaning is done by just gently swishing it about in the bath and allowing it to soak,

DONT SPRAY ANYTHING ON TO THE WIRE AND DONT TRY AND WIPE THE WIRE, ITS VERY FRAGILE!!

The ISV is located at the back of the engine as you stand in front of it, where the throttle body is you will see a black pipe that T's off and just behind the top of the Inlet manifold you will see a cylidrical object, this is the ISV, cleaning of this is done simply with WD40 or similar.

What problems are you having to want to clean these, or are you just wanting to carry out some maintenance

Jerks all the time or at specific revs? or jerks only when boosting?

If you are able to describe the problems you are having then we may well be able to assist in pointing you in the right direction.

Cleaning bits is of course the best first choice (as well as being the cheapest) ISV tho will only control the idle speed and will not affect the running of the car once moving

How many miles has your S2 done? 3B or ABY?

If it jerks most when on boost it could be the spark breaking down, could be spark plugs, also if its a 3B, could be the leads, or dizzy cap, or other ignition items

Sounds like overboost protection which is often caused by a boost leak.
Check all the hoses are connected up nice and tight.

Does it seem to get worse as boost climbs?

I would suggest it sounds possible that the spark is breaking down as boost climbs, first thing i'd check is the condition of all 5 plugs also ensure no oil has leaked down on to them as the rocker cover gaskets seem prone to leaking around the spark plug chambers (as they are 2 part gaskets, outter and inner)

When were things like plugs, leads etc last changed?
