Possible Air flow meter prob?

I Have had this Audi s2 coupe 92 5speed manual for six months,
first major problem replace steering rack, Sorted.
Now i have an intermittant fault when accelerating i have removed the intercooler and resealed o ring, replaced turbo hose split all other hoses seem tight sounds poor when idle and stalls at lights cleened idle valve but suspect air flow meter?

it seems alright from cold but if you stop then start the fault comes back, gradually putting your foot down will allow full rev range but foot to the boards it will stutter occasional back fire .

any help very gratefull

Could be MAF, or POS, or bad coil, or boot. If you know someone near with the same engine its easy to swap things out to rule them out before spending big money replacing things that may not be bad.

Had the same symptoms on mine a couple of months ago - it turned out to be the MAF!!

Just Getting Maf sent down from newcastle nothing to lose i guess! an il have a spare one if its ok.

I had to replace a coil when my RS2 did that.

Fitted part off an Rs2 in my luch hour today and seems to have done the trick!! fingers crossed
i may axtually get a month out of six of care free driving!
Four new tyres,brand new Mintex pads,steerin sorted and now its runnin right gonna be a good weekend.
