Turbo hose

Hi all, hope we're enjoying Monday, i need pictures,links or info on turbo hoses, what they look like etc etc.

Need to find a boost leak.

Can i use a hoover to find it?

no have trawled though loads of stuff on this web site and googled quite a bit of stuff..

was thinking of getting a fresh set of samco's but there about £200 just wanted to know if any one knew anything,

broke something last week and having problems finding it.

Is a weird problem as only "blows" (hisses) when under load, when its up on axel stands it doesn't happen,

unless i strap a mate to the bonnet and drive along... hmmm

Thats correct mate, you can only generate boost under load on the road, when the cars on axel stands your not generating high enough boost.

you need to pressure test your system

My betting is the IC O ring is shafted and you'll need the Mark H mod (it's in BTDT)

S2avant95m- not sure what overboost protection is, only had the car a while and learning stuff everyday

symptons:- was "playing" with this 307cc when i floored it and suddenly lost all power, what happens now is when i give it heavy "load" the pressure just escapes (i can hear it) however if i'm careful it'll get up to 65mph, also get black smoke when i floor it and it just, kind of judders and nothing happens (apart from the hissing)...

You need to take the bumper off, BTDT = Been There Done That

sounds like a boost leeak to me as those are the exact symptoms i had when i first bought my car. the black smoke was quite worrying at the time

my problem was a split throttle body hose, which is quite easy to check and change and is quite prone to splitting.

s2avant95m - which one is that? coz have checked all the ones into the IC. Is it the long one that comes up and passes along the side then bends round the back and then into the intake manifold (right name?)

sorry but my mechanic jargon is not up to much...

as just looked at it recently and there seems to be oil seeping near a one of those hose clips at the front (near drivers side headlight)

right after much ado got it....

its the accordian one...

had to get bumper off etc, but didn't take too long...

any body know the part number?

Want to get it ordered ASAP as driving this car carefully is getting me frustrated, and it can't be great for the lamda sensor etc to be over-fueling like this..
